Laguna Blanca fielded four teams during the fall season, with standout student-athletes making strong impacts for each team.
From the Tri-Valley League to the Frontier League, the Owls were rewarded for their impacts with All-League honors.
Girls Volleyball (Frontier)
The Owls turned in a dominant Frontier League season en route to being named co-league champions. They leaned on junior libero Lolayna Redmond throughout the season, and she was named the Frontier League MVP as a result.
Meanwhile, the senior duo of setter Ginger Finney and outside hitter Sage Holcombe provided strong leadership and earned spots on the All-League First Team.
Sophomore outside hitter Maritt Blabey and freshman middle blocker Lauren Kenny showcased the future of the Laguna Blanca program with All-League Second Team campaigns.
The Owls’ young corps, along with a veteran, garnered All-League Honorable Mention nods as senior outside hitter Lila Foster, sophomore setter Abby Connor, sophomore opposite hitter Vivi Keister and freshman middle blocker Greta Allredge all earned recognition.
8-Man Football (Frontier)
On the gridiron, Laguna Blanca was led by the sophomore tandem of quarterback Luke Popovich and running back Kevin Castillo, who represented the team on the All-League First Team.
Junior center Jorge Gonzales, sophomore wideout Jaden Yanez and sophomore tight end Harry Ryan earned selections to the All-League Second Team and gave Owl fans plenty to be excited about for next season.
The youth movement continued into the All-League Honorable Mention honorees, as sophomore defensive end Mike Couvillion and freshman defensive end Oliver Archival showcased their talents off the edge.
Girls Tennis (Tri-Valley League)
Moving into the Tri-Valley League, Ella Osley turned in a stellar season in singles action for Laguna Blanca and was the team’s lone representative on the All-League First Team.
The pairing of Tatiana Taylor and Maddy Osley garnered All-League Second Team honors for doubles play, while Hali Wight picked up a Second Team nod for her performance in singles.
Meanwhile, the duo of Paisley Thompson and Stella Frank rounded out the team’s honorees as All-League Honorable Mentions.
Boys Cross Country (Tri-Valley League)
The Laguna Blanca trio of senior Alex McClintock, junior Cooper Green and sophomore Alex Graham ran their way to All-League Honorable Mention selections to cap off the Owls’ fall honorees.
