Dos Pueblos girls volleyball put the cherry on top of a dominant Pacific View League season with a sweep of Del Sol on Tuesday in Oxnard, 25-10, 25-9, 25-7.

The Chargers went an undefeated 8-0 in Pacific View League play this year to claim the league championship and a spot in the CIF-SS playoffs.

Dos Pueblos was in control from start to finish on Tuesday, with Athena Bardakos leading the charge with seven kills and three aces.

Maya Rider added six kills, Kyra Sample served up six aces and Allie Berrett had four kills, while the libero duo of Mia Taylor and Stella Valentine anchored the back court performance.

“It was so much fun getting all the girls on the court tonight and watching them succeed,” Dos Pueblos coach Emily Curry said. “Going undefeated in league is no easy task, and I’m incredibly proud of what this group has accomplished. They’ve worked hard, grown together, and continued to raise the bar for themselves throughout the season.”

The Chargers will now await their CIF-SS playoff division and first-round matchup, which will be released on Friday.

“Our eyes are set on CIF and bringing home a championship banner to Sovine Gym,” Curry said. “It’s a big dream, but I truly believe that if we continue to work hard, trust each other, and play for one another, there’s no limit to what this team can accomplish.

“These girls have shown so much heart, and I’m excited to see how far we can go.”
