Santa Barbara High girls water polo excelled on both ends of the pool in a 15-2 win over Rio Mesa on Tuesday in Oxnard.

Sasha Jones led the scoring attack with four goals, while Luna Morancey ended the day with three goals of her own.

Kana Wolfe shined in all facets of the game with two goals and two steals, and Hope Smith scored a goal and earned a pair of exclusions.

The Dons will host Buena for another Channel League matchup on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. 

Carpinteria High 18, Hueneme 1

The Warriors cruised to a dominant Citrus Coast League win over Hueneme on Tuesday.

Carpinteria came out of the gates firing with 12 first-half goals, led by strong efforts from Kathryn Kaskey, Holliday Smith and Penny Ornelas. From there, the Warriors rolled to the victory.

Lucia Smith and Madison Lee helped facilitate the first-half offensive outburst with six and four assists, respectively.

“We came out with a well-rounded offense, which we’ve been restructuring to complement our team makeup and create a more balanced attack,” Carpinteria High head coach Russell Russo said.

The Warriors will be back on the road to take on Ventura on Wednesday.
