The Carpinteria girls volleyball lost a match to Nordhoff Tuesday, 25-14, 25-13, 25-12.
“We were definitely outsized by about six feet in every rotation,” Warriors coach Greg Novak said. “Though we were outsized, we executed some plays we’ve been practicing, which was good to see. Libero Ashlee Mora continues to play superb defense.”
Carpinteria play at Malibu Thursday.
The Providence girls tennis team suffered its first loss of the season Tuesday, 14-4 to Cate.
Patriots lost four very close doubles sets.
“We’re looking forward to our rematch with Cate School to see how our girls respond,” Providence athletic director Evan Covell said.
Providence is now 4-1 overall.
After a strong start, the Providence girls volleyball team lost a five-setter to Dunn School Tuesday, 16-25, 25-23, 21-25, 25-19, 15-10.
The Patriots are now 2-3 on the season, remaining 2-0 in league play. They take on Oak Grove School Wednesday and travel to Midland School Saturday.
