The Goleta Valley South Little League 12U All-Stars were the team to beat all tournament, and they still went undefeated en route to a District 63 championship on Wednesday at Goleta Valley South LL

GVSLL took down Dos Pueblos LL by a score of 10-0 in the title game to clinch the fifth consecutive district title for a core group of players that has played together since their 8U All-Star season.

They were dominant from start to finish, going a perfect 4-0 with wins over Fillmore, Santa Paula, Carpinteria Valley and Dos Pueblos.

The GVSLL pitching staff did not allow a single run, outscoring opponents 48-0 while holding them to just six total hits across the four games.

In the 18 innings pitched, the staff struck out 34 batters and held opponents to a batting average of .097. The defense was strong as well, ending with a .944 team fielding percentage without allowing a single stolen base.

At the plate, GVSLL ended the tournament with a team batting average of .467, on-base percentage of .537 and OPS (on-base plus slugging percentage) of 1.260. 

GVSLL will now compete in the Section 1 Tournament in mid-July, a tournament this group has won in back-to-back summers.

The GVSLL 12U All Stars are Blake Bollman, Joseph Demmin, Robert Denny, Alex Glaeser, Aiden Herrera, Rio Lopes, Perrish McGinn, Jackson Murdock, James Short, Eli Swartz, Walker Torres and Brennan Zant.

The team is managed by Brett Bollman with assistant coaches Jesse Landeros, Ray Torres and Brian Zant.
