Goleta is looking for volunteers to help out at the city’s Second Annual Fourth of July Drone Light Show on the football field at Dos Pueblos High School, 7266 Alameda Ave.
Gates open at 6 p.m. with food trucks, DJ Darla Bea, line dancing, family-friendly games and activities, and a photo booth.
The event finale is a drone light show, that starts around 9:15 p.m. and lasts about 15 minutes.
Volunteers will assist with various tasks such as event setup, guest services, and safety coordination.
“Your involvement will help ensure that the event runs smoothly and creates a memorable evening for all,” the city said.
Participants must be 16 years of age or older, while volunteers ages 12 to 15 are welcome to join with adult supervision.
“This event is a great chance for families, friends, and community groups to come together and make a meaningful impact,” organizers said.
Volunteers must attend an hour-long meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 2 at the Dos Pueblos High football field. At the meeting, volunteers will receive a commemorative T-shirt to be worn at the July 4 event; meet the team; and get their volunteer assignments.
Those with questions about volunteering can e-mail DroneLightShow@cityofgoleta.gov.
