The Goleta Valley South Little League 10U All-Stars continued their winning streak in taking the District 63 championship, beating the Dos Pueblos 10U LL team 20-8 in Santa Paula.

The GVSLL swatted 15 hits, led by outfielder Paxton Strong’s 3-for-3 performance and second basemen Cash Phillips’ 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs.

Bradley Brennan and Jameson Wrenn both went 2-for-4 with three and two RBIs, respectively. Logan Winslow, Noah Trejo, Dylan Loman, Jack Castelo and Liam MacMichael all had hits for GVSLL.

Starting pitcher Winslow led with five strikeouts and no walks in 2-2/3 innings on the mound. Wrenn closed out with the win and two strikeouts. Trejo and Castelo were solid in middle relief.

Dos Pueblos LL’s five hits were led by Alex Gonzalez, who went 2-for-4.

Landon Ngai, Tanner Hug, and Tyler Henderson each had hits of DPLL. Pitcher Ngai threw four innings surrendering five runs and four hits. Kai Ishino, Tyler Henderson, and William Checketts contributed in relief for DPLL 10U

The GVSLL 10U All-Stars move to the Sectionals and play Saturday, July 17 at 10 a.m. in Lompoc.

The GVSLL 10U All-Star team is made up of Bradley Brennan, Jack Castelo, Julian Gonzalez, Darby Jones, Dylan Loman, Liam MacMichael, Ezekiel Mendoza, Kingston Palencia, Cash Phillips, Paxton Strong, Noah Trejo, Logan Winslow, and Jameson Wrenn. The team is managed by James Winslow and coaches were Adam Phillips and Edgar Gonzalez.
