The Goleta Valley South Little League 10-under All Stars outslugged Ventura-Foothill, 22-12, to advance to the final round of the District 63 Tournament at Harding Park in Santa Paula.
Bradley Brennan batted 4 for 6 with a two doubles and a triple and drove in five runs. Jack Castelo went 3-4 with a RBI, Jameson Wrenn was 2-4 with three RBI and Darby Jones was 2-3. In addition, Noah Trejo crushed a monster triple to right-center field to drve in three runs in the sixth inning. Cash Philips, Dylan Loman, Paxton Strong, Liam MacMichael, Zeke Mendoza and Logan Winslow added hits in Goleta Valley’s 19-hit attack.
Foothill was led by two doubles from Ben Hofer and two hits each from Bryce Gerda and Brandon Lobat.
Goleta Valley South returns to Harding Park for the finals on Friday, July 9.
The GVSLL 10U All-Star team is made up of Bradley Brennan, Jack Castelo, Julian Gonzalez, Darby Jones, Dylan Loman, Liam MacMichael, Ezekiel Mendoza, Kingston Palencia, Cash Phillips, Paxton Strong, Noah Trejo, Logan Winslow, and Jameson Wrenn. The team is coached by Joshua Bencker, Adam Phillips and James Winslow.
