Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast (BGCMCC) raised more than $100,000 at its 27th Annual Ag For Youth Golf Tournament benefit, in support of thousands of local youth.

The annual event, held July 31 at the Santa Maria County Club, brought out 128 golfers for a day of on-course games, food, and a chance to make memories all for a good cause, organizers said.
Title sponsors for the event were Boys & Girls Clubs of the Central Coast Foundation and Driscoll’s, in which the foursomes from each group scored well during the friendly competition, BGCMCC said.

At a reception following the games, Maria Fabula, CEO of BGCMCC, talked about the tournament’s legacy and the future of the organization as it marks 60 years helping families on the Central Coast.

In a highlight of the event, Linda Cordero, longtime BGCMCC supporter and former board member, was named the winner of the grand prize Pebble Beach raffle. The prize includes a trip to Pebble Beach with a chance to play at three different courses in the area and two rooms for two nights at one of the luxurious properties nearby.
Cordero said she was “overwhelmed about the news.”
Other prizes won by golfers ranged from cash to coolers to gift certificates
All funds raised at the tournament will support Central Coast families with after-school care for more than 5,000 young people.
