Auditions for the 2025 Santa Maria Elks Rodeo’s Jr. Barrelman Contest will be held Sunday, March 16. Each contestant will be judged on appearance, western fashion, posture, personality, self-confidence, promptly and correctly answering interview questions.
Deadline to apply is Monday, March 10.
The Santa Maria Elks Rode invites kids who are athletic, energetic and funny to apply for the Jr. Barrelman position. All applicants must be between the ages of 7 and 11 years by Dec. 31, 2025.
The individual selected as the official 2025 Jr. Barrelman will receive a Resistol Hat, Justin Boots, Belt Buckle, and other prizes.
The Jr. Barrelman winner will also be performing in the arena during Mutton Bustin’, as well as bringing awareness to local youth on how they too can get involved in the rodeo.
