The Carpinteria community is invited to join local law enforcement officers for Coffee with a Cop, a casual event, 9-11 a.m. Saturday, May 24 at Carp Moon Café, 4991 Carpinteria Ave.
The national initiative brings police officers and community members together over coffee to discuss issues, build relationships, and strengthen the connection between law enforcement and the people they serve.
“Community safety isn’t just about responding to calls, it’s about relationships,” said Lt. Rich Brittingham. “Events like these are how we build stronger neighborhoods together.
“It’s a great opportunity for our community to get to know the officers serving their neighborhood in a relaxed, informal setting.”
Residents of all ages are welcome to stop by, ask questions, voice concerns, or simply enjoy a morning coffee with the local team.
