To showcase our support as a sponsor of A Winter Music Showcase, Noozhawk spoke with Bill Fisher with Grace Fisher Foundation to learn more about their upcoming event.
Question: What is the name and date of your event?
Answer: A Winter Music Showcase will be held at The Granada Theatre on December 10th at 6pm.
Q: What is the mission, goal, and/or theme of this occasion?
A: The sixth annual Winter Music Showcase is an evening of music, dance, and art produced by the Grace Fisher Foundation in support of the Inclusive Arts Clubhouse in Santa Barbara. This Holiday event is sure to lift your spirits by bringing together a talented array of musicians, dancers and artists performing on the majestic Granada stage.
This event helps to raise awareness and funds for the programs at the Inclusive Arts Clubhouse in Santa Barbara. A place where kids and young adults can explore artistic programs at no cost. The Winter Music Showcase is an inspiring evening of artistry reimagined.
Q: Have you held this event before?
A: This is an annual event, our 4th year at The Granada.
Q: Tell us some more details about your celebration?
A: A Winter Music Showcase, produced by the Grace Fisher Foundation will feature music performances by Folk Orchestra Santa Barbara, lead by Adam Phillips; Jackson Gillies Trio; Guitarist, Chris Fossek; Tenor, Sibo Msibi and an original composition by Grace Fisher for guitar, viola and cello.
Dance performances by Elite Dance Studio, Emerge, and Selena Valencia. Vocal performances by Bella Voce and a moving performance from Inclusive Arts Clubhouse participants, that will be sure to lift your spirits for the Holiday Season!
Q: How do people get involved with your event? (volunteer, attend, etc.) – If your event includes ticket sales, please note the price and include a link to purchase tickets.
A: People are encouraged to purchase tickets here. Prices range: $15-$64.
Q: Is this a fundraising affair? If so, how will the funds raised help your organization?
A: The funds raised during this Showcase will help fund art and music programs for kids and young adults with disabilities.
Q: Who is sponsoring your event, and why is their support important?
A: We have received tremendous support from Santa Barbara Bowl Outreach, City of Santa Barbara Arts Commission, The Chispa Foundation, Leni Fe Bland Performing Arts Partnership, and the Santa Barbara Foundation Towbes Fund for the Performing Arts.
This support helps ensure funding for the arts for people of all abilities.
Q: Do you work with an Event Planner? If not, who are the key people who make it all happen?
A: The key people producing this Showcase are; Grace Fisher, Daniel Herrera, Jana Brody, and Bill and Debbie Fisher.
Q: Does your organization have any other upcoming events this year?
A: The Inclusive Arts Clubhouse is open Wednesday through Sunday from 11am to 5pm. Our Calendar of events can be viewed on our website.
Q: What are you planning as a post-event follow up?
A: This is an annual event and the only event of this type we do all year.
