The GVGSA 10U Goleta Thunder slugged its way to a championship at the Paso Robles Swing Into Summer Tournament last weekend in Paso Robles.
The Thunder outscored its opponents 51-19 on its way to a 5-0 record on the weekend. While the bats were on fire, Goleta also turned in a strong weekend in the field and in the circle en route to the title.
“Our team has great chemistry,” Goleta manager Phillip Morones said. “They stayed focused, picked each other up, and earned this championship with their effort and teamwork.”
The Goleta Thunder roster includes Maeve Garwood, Kalea Jones, Kyla Lehman, Leilani Lugo, Gracie Meza, Ava Morones, Maya Morones, Liv Parton, Michelle Ritter, Emily Ruiz, Nora Smith and Vivian Vogel.
The team is managed by Phillip Morones with assistant coaches Thomas Mendoza, Arianna Meza, Kristen Ritter and Rick Lugo.
