The GVGSA 12U Storm softball team captured the Silver Division title at the El Rio Beach Blast Tournament this weekend.
The Storm rolled to an undefeated record of 4-0, outscoring opponents 48-10 along the way.
“We coaches couldn’t be more proud of these young athletes. They were fantastic from top to bottom,” said Storm’s Head Coach Chris Anderson. “Our pitchers were dominant in the circle, our defense was lights out, and our bats were on fire.
“This is a close-knit group, and you can really see how they feed off each other. We look forward to watching them continue to grow together.”
The Storm will continue its summer season this weekend in Paso Robles.
The 12U Storm team consists of Ava Rodriguez, Ella Anderson, Giana Brunner, Gianna Bautista, Hailey Bravo, Harper Read, Juliana Jimenez, Makaela Muhr, Malaya Guilliams, Mia Tarka, Nyny Garcia and Ricci Ruiz.
The team is coached by Chris Anderson, Matt Guilliams, Jon Ramsdell, Erika Rodriguez, Beau Brunner and Javier Read.
