The GVGSA Gold 10U Thunder won the Silver Bracket championship at the NSA Ride the Wave Tournament last weekend in Arroyo Grande.
The Thunder went 3-2 on the weekend and capped it all off with a 6-3 victory in the title game.
“This was a great weekend for our team,” Goleta head coach Phil Morones said. “Every game was competitive, and the girls never stopped fighting. They showed tremendous growth throughout the tournament, and winning the Silver Bracket against an all-travel-ball field is something they should be very proud of.
“The biggest takeaway was how our players continued to compete regardless of the score or situation. They trusted each other, supported one another, and played with confidence. Those are the qualities that make this group special.”
