Thirty-two cadets will graduate from Allan Hancock College’s Basic Law Enforcement Academy, 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 10 at the college’s Public Safety Training Complex, One Hancock Drive, Lompoc.

The ceremony celebrates the cadets’ completing an 872-hour course of instruction.  

All 32 cadets graduates have completed the California Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Basic Course, designed to prepare cadets for careers in law enforcement.

The course included training on the laws of arrest, community policing, firearms, ethics, patrol techniques, CPR/First Aid, and emergency vehicle operations. 

Arroyo Grande Police Department Chief David Culver will be the keynote speaker for the event.
