The Montecito Association invites residents, community stakeholders, and local
organizations to attend Hands Across Montecito: Meet the Team & Learn How You Can Help, 5-7 p.m. Thursday, June 5 at The Friendship Center, 89 Eucalyptus Lane, Montecito.
Celebrating five years of compassion in action with Hands Across Montecito, the free event is designed to raise awareness about the community’s innovative homeless outreach program.
Attendees can meet the outreach team, hear true stories, and learn how to help support unhoused individuals in Montecito.
The evening will feature:
- Introduction to the Hands Across Montecito team, and program overview with Sharon Byrne
- Panel discussion with representatives from Earthcomb and CityNet, sharing updates and success stories
- Audience Q&A and community dialogue
- Volunteer opportunities and immediate donation needs
- Light refreshments
- Raffle prizes (must be present to win)
“Hands Across Montecito is a grassroots effort that started five years ago, with proven results, helping some of the most vulnerable members of our community find a path to stability,” said Houghton Hyatt.
“This event is a chance for residents to see firsthand the impact of their support — and to learn simple, meaningful ways to make a difference.” Hyatt said.
