Community members invited to meet six Central Coast candidates for elective office, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Sept. 19 at 3203 Lightning St., Santa Maria.

Participating candidates include:

Bob Smith, candidate for California’s 24th Congressional District
Maribel Aguilera, candidate for Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors, District 5
Ricardo “Richard” Batalla, candidate for Santa Maria City Council, District 1
Corby Poulis, Sr., candidate for Santa Maria City Council, District 3
Alejandro Arredondo, candidate for Santa Maria Public Airport Board District 4
Sally Lopez, candidate for Santa Barbara County Board of Education, Trustee Area 7

During the Come Meet Your Candidates for the Central Coast event, which is hosted by Arredondo, attendees can meet the office-seekers, participate in one-on-one conversations, and learn about their priorities and plans for public office.

Each candidate will have five minutes to speak about why they are running.
