A heat wave will hit Santa Barbara County early next week, according to the National Weather Service.

The Santa Ynez Valley will see daytime temperatures above 100 degrees on Monday and Tuesday, with the hottest temps expected at 104 degrees Tuesday.

The NWS Los Angeles Office pushed out advisories about the heat wave in its forecasts and social media pages this week.

Tuesday is expected to be the hottest day.

Santa Barbara County areas outside the Santa Ynez Valley are expected to see high temperatures in the mid-80s.

The heat wave will “come to a crashing halt” on Wednesday and Thursday, with peak temperatures dropping several degrees each day, the NWS said Friday.
