The Lompoc Valley Chamber of Commerce has started a national search for a “visionary and dedicated executive director to lead the organization into its next chapter of growth and community impact.”

The full-time, exempt position offers an annual salary of $65,000-$85,000, along with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional development.

The executive director will serve as the chief executive officer of the chamber, providing strategic leadership, fostering community partnerships, and advocating for local businesses, the chamber said.

The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing the organization’s strategic initiatives, strengthening member engagement, and promoting Lompoc Valley as a vibrant hub for business and tourism, the chamber said.

“We are seeking a passionate leader who understands the importance of community collaboration and economic growth,” said Blake Bradley, board chair for the Lompoc Valley Chamber of Commerce.

“This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to make a lasting impact on our local economy and support our business community’s future success,” Bradley said.

The ideal candidate will have proven leadership experience in business, nonprofit, or chamber management, along with strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.

Experience managing budgets, fundraising campaigns, and sponsorship efforts is essential, as is familiarity with chamber operations, economic development, and community engagement.

Preference will be given to candidates who are graduates of the Western Association of Chamber Executives (W.A.C.E.) Academy program, the chamber said.

“This position offers a competitive salary based on experience, with the potential for up to a 20% discretionary annual bonus. Benefits include monthly stipends for medical, phone, and mileage, along with opportunities for professional development through conferences and training programs,” the chamber said.
