All lanes of Highway 101 northbound south of La Cumbre Road in Santa Barbara were blocked Thursday afternoon after a collision involving a motorcycle, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Emergency crews first responded to the highway at around 4:13 p.m.

Emergency radio traffic indicated the collision involved one vehicle and one motorcycle.

“A motorcyclist has overturned on US-101 and all lanes are currently blocked,” a Highway Patrol spokesperson said just after 4:15 p.m. “Expect delays and move over safely for emergency responders. Slow down, stay alert, and drive cautiously.”
