With deep sadness, we announce the passing of beloved brother Higinio “Gene” Garcia, 61, of Carpinteria, who passed away surrounded by family on June 10, 2026.

A funeral mass will be celebrated in his honor at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 23 at St. Joseph’s Church, 1532 Linden Ave., Carpinteria.

Interment will follow the mass at Carpinteria Cemetery, 1501 Cravens Lane, Carpinteria.
