Dr. Natasha M. Marston

Dr. Natasha M. Marston

Hospice of Santa Barbara (HSB) has added Dr. Natasha M. Marston to its Board of Directors. Dr. Marston has been a member of the Santa Barbara community for some 25 years after following her father in becoming a UCSB alumnus in 1998.

Dr. Marston hails from Ohio, where she was born and raised as a child on a rural farm, and graduated high school in suburban Columbus.

Her journey to medicine began as a child and took her from UCSB to the UCLA School of Medicine, where she excelled academically and developed as a humanitarian. From there she trained at the family medicine residency program at the Ventura County Medical Center.

After residency, Dr. Marston found her calling in hospice and palliative medicine. She did her fellowship training with the Cedars-Sinai West LA VA Palliative Medicine program. She then returned to Santa Barbara, and for the last decade has worked with the Palliative Care Consultants of Santa Barbara, serving with the VNA Health Home Hospice and Serenity House teams, and assisting with inpatient palliative care at Cottage Hospital.

She has collaborated with HSB on the care of patients over the years, and said she looks forward to contributing to the organization and the community through service to the HSB Board of Directors.
