The Lompoc Hospital District Foundation will host a free lecture, “Living with Parkinson’s Disease,” at 6 p.m. Sept. 18 at the Dick DeWees Community and Senior Center.

Lecturer Jody Larson has been involved in the Lompoc Parkinson’s Support Group for seven years. During this presentation, she’ll offer her expertise on the symptoms of Parkinson’s and ways to manage the disease.

Parkinson’s is a brain disorder that causes unintended or uncontrollable movements, such as shaking, stiffness and difficulty with balance and coordination.

Jody will also offer information on available support services in the Lompoc area.
