Twelve people were displaced after a two-story Goleta home caught fire on Tuesday, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
The blaze was reported at 10:55 a.m. on the 700 block of San Ramon Drive, which is east of Patterson Avenue in the eastern Goleta Valley.
Firefighters called a second alarm for more resources to combat the blaze, Capt. Scott Safechuck said.
He told Noozhawk from the scene that the fire was knocked down around noon.

Firefighters rescued one man and a dog from the house’s second-story balcony shortly after they arrived, Safechuck added.
The man turned down an ambulance ride to the hospital but went in a private vehicle to be evaluated for possible injuries, he said.
The dog was not hurt.
Safechuck said 12 residents were displaced from the home because of the fire damage, including one juvenile, and the two dogs as well.
Fire officials notified the local chapter of the Red Cross to help residents.
Firefighters were still on the scene as of early afternoon, making sure to extinguish all hot spots, Safechuck added.
County Fire is investigating the cause of the blaze, and no further details were available.
