As promised, it was a rainy weekend in Santa Barbara County.
The San Marcos Pass received the most rain in the county during the three-day storm with 3.04 inches recorded as of Monday afternoon.
Santa Barbara got 2.27 inches during the storm, Goleta got 1.87 inches of rain, Santa Maria got 0.85 inches, Lompoc got 0.82 inches, Carpinteria got 1.52 inches, and Santa Ynez got 0.5 inches.
The county overall has hit 96% of its “normal to date” rainfall, said the the county’s flood control district, which reports rainfall totals and reservoir levels.
Lake Cachuma is 90.8% full as of Monday. The Gibraltar Reservoir and Jameson Reservoir, also along the Santa Ynez River, are 99.2% and 100% full, respectively.
Following the overnight rain, Santa Barbara County Environmental Health Services reminded residents that physical contact with storm water while swimming or surfing can increase the risks of rashes, fever, chills, ear infections, diarrhea or vomiting.
The Public Health Department recommends that people don’t play or swim in the ocean or creeks for at least three days following a rain event.
This isn’t the last we’ll see of the rain this week.
Most areas can expect a chance of rain on Wednesday before it clears up for mostly-sunny weather on Thursday and Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
A high surf advisory will be in effect in Lompoc from 1 a.m. on Tuesday until noon on Wednesday. Large waves of 7 to 11 feet are expected along with dangerous rip currents and minor coastal flooding for west-facing beaches, the NWS said.

In Goleta, Tuesday will be mostly sunny with northwest winds better 10 to 15 mph. Wednesday has a 10% chance of rain after 4 p.m. and a 20% chance before 10 p.m. Thursday and Friday are expected to be mostly sunny, according to the National Weather Service.
In Santa Ynez, Tuesday will be mostly sunny during the day but cloudy at night leading into Wednesday which has a 20% chance of rain after 10 a.m. and will continue into the evening. Thursday and Friday are expected to be mostly sunny, according to the National Weather Service.
In Lompoc, Tuesday will be partly sunny with northwest winds of 15 to 20 mph and gusts of 30 mph. Wednesday has a 30% chance of rain mainly after 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. with less than a tenth of an inch of rain expected. Thursday and Friday will be mostly sunny.
In Santa Maria, Tuesday will be partly sunny with a cloudy evening leading into Wednesday which has a 20% chance of rain after 10 a.m. until 10 p.m.
