
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ignacio Zavala Lule, who passed away peacefully, surrounded by his children on Sunday, April 12, 2026.
Born on Oct. 25, 1957 in Salvatierra, Guanajuato, Mexico, to Jose Guadalupe Zavala and Maria Lule Guijon, Ignacio was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. He touched the lives of everyone he met with his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support.
Ignacio is survived by his loving family, including daughters Hibet Alcaraz (Roberto), Milan Zavala, Mayra Morales (Jhonatan), Leslie Zavala, and Marlene Arriaga-Zavala (Francisco); sons Ignacio Jr. Zavala and Eduardo Zavala; as well as many cherished grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
He will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his generosity, and his sense of humor. His legacy lives on in the memories we share and the love he brought into our lives.
We invite all who know Ignacio to join us for a rosary service, 7 p.m. April 29 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 227 N. Nopal St., Santa Barbara.
A memorial mass will take place in his honor, 10 a.m. April 30, also at Our Lady of Guadalupe, with interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
