UCSB freshman center Ila Lane recorded her fifth double-double of the season, as the Gauchos routed Chicago State, 96-65, at the 2019 Nugget Classic in Reno on Sunday.
Lane picked up 20 points and 10 rebounds to help UCSB win its fourth game of the season. She was named to the all-tournament team.
Redshirt junior guard Tal Sahar scored a career-high 22 points to lead the scoring. Junior guard Danae Miller nearly had a double-double of her down, scoring 10 points and dropping eight assists.
The Gauchos went up 29-14 after the first 10 minutes.
Santa Barbara’s best offensive performance came in the third quarter, when the Gauchos again had seven different players scored, led by both sophomore center Megan Ormiston and redshirt senior Coco Miller’s six points in the quarter.
Over the course of the game, UCSB accrued 35 points from its bench players.
UCSB returns home for its annual toy drive game against Pacific on Thursday night at 7 p.m.
