At least two people were injured early Sunday in a two-vehicle rollover crash on Highway 101 in downtown Santa Barbara.
The crash occurred at about 2:30 a.m. on the northbound freeway exit ramp at West Carrillo Street, according to Santa Barbara fire Battalion Chief Jim McCoy.
One vehicle came to rest on its roof on one side of the exit ramp, while the other ended up in the vegetation off the roadway on the opposite side.
Two men in the overturned vehicle sustained minor injuries, and one was taken by American Medical Response ambulance to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital , McCoy said.
Their identities and details on their medical conditions were not available.
The driver of the other vehicle fled the scene and could not be located, despite a search of the area, McCoy added.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the circumstances and cause of the collision.
