Irene Winsauer, a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and trusted friend, left us on May 8, 2026 to begin her spiritual journey with God.

Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with her four sisters, Irene married her soulmate Howard (1925-2014) in 1956 and moved to California in 1974.

A long-time Goleta resident, Irene was active in her community often volunteering endless time and energy to the Santa Barbara Botanical Gardens, Humane Society, Hospice of Santa Barbara, and ASAP Cats animal rescue shelter.

Irene had a kind and generous heart that enlightened all who were blessed to know her. She provided a warm and supportive embrace to all of her children so they had the confidence to pursue their dreams.

The surviving children Jim (Sherry), Jill (David) and Julie (Harry), and two granddaughters Melissa and Amanda (Shon) request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Visiting Nurses & Hospice Care of Santa Barbara or to ASAP Cats animal shelter.
