Santa Barbara High’s Isaac Stone missed advancing to the CIF State Golf Championships by three shots at the Southern California Golf Association/CIF Championships at Brookside Golf Course in Pasadena on Thursday.

Stone shot a 2-over par 74 in the competition that featured 128 golfers throughout Southern California.

The senior was 1-under after 10 holes and one shot behind the leaders, but narrow misses on several birdie putts dropped him further back.

Stone enjoyed a terrific senior season. He won the Channel League individual championship, led the Dons to an undefeated team title, was named Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table High School Boys Golfer of the Year and received the Outstanding Athletic Performance Award, along with baseball player Derek True, at Santa Barbara High.

Stone’s season stroke average was 72.73.
