Janet Lacey was born Dec. 15, 1971 to Bill and Barbara Lacey. She passed away Jan. 20, 2026 of complications from cancer.

Janet was a Carpinteria local her whole life. Her happiest was helping others, especially kids.

She was a cornbread girl at the Big Yellow House (meet Hector the ghost), nanny, a receptionist, and various customer service positions.

Her smile and laugh will be missed.

Janet leaves behind her mother Barbara of Colorado Springs, Colorado; husband John; and sister Jen of Ojai, California.

Janet was a kind soul who will be remembered.
