Jennifer Smith has announced her candidacy for Goleta City Council, District 3. Smith is a 12-year resident of the city.

“I have served on the Planning Commission for the past seven years, listening to residents and ensuring that development aligns with our city’s General Plan,” she said. “I am ready to tackle the pressing issues of housing affordability, infrastructure improvement, emergency preparedness, environmental preservation, and conservation of our open Space.

“I am proud to have earned the support of Mayor Paula Perotte, and members of the current City Council, and County Supervisor Joan Hartmann,” Smith said. “They know I will work hard to represent the interests of the residents of Goleta with integrity.”
