Sooner or later, we’ll meet our Maker. That’s what the Bible says and I believe it.
The inevitability of meeting our Maker does not require you to believe in God’s Word. In the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Church in Rome, he presents the general revelation of God’s miraculous handiwork in all He has created.
Every evening, I can look up to the skies and every morning I wake up to the aroma of the Pacific Ocean and the mountainous beauty of Santa Barbara, California.
And, I thank God for His creation of all that exists.
Frankly, there was a time when I gave hardly any thought at all to creation nor to the Creator of all that exists.
There is so much that distracts us, it’s quite easy to simply give no thought to the creation of the universe, all its wonderment and the One Who put it all in place.
Now then, let’s discuss this idea of one day meeting the Lord of the Universe.
The Bible tells us much of Christ’s second coming. His first Advent was quite unique – coming into this world as a baby born to a virgin in Bethlehem slightly over 2,000 years ago.
According to the Gospels, Jesus walked this planet for 33 years or so and lived a sinless life, performing many miracles, healing many and even raising several from death.
This same Jesus, the God Man, died a vicarious death on a Roman cross nearly 2,000 years ago.
Three days later, He arose from the grave and walked on this planet once again for another 40 days before His ascension into Heaven.
There were more than 500 witnesses according to the account of Luke and the Apostle Paul. There was no doubt His resurrection was real.
As I alluded to early on, sooner or later we’ll all meet our Maker. The most prudent way to meet Him is before His prophesied return to take His significant remnant with Him to Heaven.
If you wish to join us, you must come to Him humbly with a repentant heart admitting your sinful nature.
Also, you must ask His forgiveness and believe that His grace is sufficient to save you from the destruction that will come after His appearance.
That personal relationship is available to all who come to Him and accept Him as Savior and Lord moving forward.
No one knows when He will return, but that day may well be soon from my understanding of Scripture and the signs of the times.
The Apostle John’s final words in the Revelation 22:20-21 reads, “He who testifies to these things says; ‘I am coming soon.’ Amen. Come Lord Jesus. The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people. Amen.”
Yes, some will remain in denial, but the Truth of God’s Word will surely come to pass. Come soon, Lord Jesus!
