The creation story found in Genesis 1 ends with the creation of woman from Adam’s rib.
Many find this story hard to accept, but I consider it plausible in the transfer of DNA from the first human to the second in God’s intricate plan to procreate this world with two beings made in his image.
Man and woman are distinctly alike yet very different.
Let me share the words passed down by Adam to his descendants found in Genesis 1:22-23:
“Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said, ‘This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman’ for she was taken out of man.’”
That’s what God’s Word says and it works for me.
As the first woman, Eve is the mother of all future generations. It starts with childbirth, but there’s so much more to the major role of women in God’s Plan!
Let’s go back to verse 18 where we learn “The Lord God said, ‘It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.’”
Now, let’s move forward to verse 24 where we are instructed “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.”
Imagine that — from one flesh and then reunited to one flesh! That’s a beautiful picture of holy matrimony.
God demonstrates to us His desire for His greatest creation to procreate — to bring forth offspring and multiply the human race for God’s glory!
God is pleased with the multiplication of His people and longs for a close relationship with all who accept Him as Lord.
You may be wondering just where this discussion is headed. Well, my desire is to simply promote and present God’s purpose for male and female as created, while disaffirming the world’s current view and presentation of gender dysphoria.
Prior to 2013, this condition was known as gender identity disorder. That term may not be socially acceptable today, but in my opinion, it hit the nail on the head. We need to snuff out this effort to confuse what should be obvious.
According to Scripture, God made man and He made woman. And, God does not make mistakes.
Unfortunately, as humans we are constantly making mistakes and frequently not learning from those miscues.
We don’t need to play around with what He has created so beautifully. We don’t need our medical profession to create money-producing methods to assist a fractional part of our society in mutilating their bodies in an unholy attempt to rebuild humankind.
Here’s the bottom line: We should not ever mess around with what our Lord has put in motion. He destroyed all but Noah and his family many years ago and at the rate we’re going, I wouldn’t blame Him for doing it again.
We must consider the evil within us and turn to Christ and ask forgiveness for our willful disobedience.
