Jodi House will host Paint the Town Blue, a community fundraising event, 5:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, at MOXI’s rooftop Sky Garden in Santa Barbara.
More than 200 guests are expected to gather to celebrate Jodi House’s mission to empower brain injury survivors to thrive.
This year’s theme Paint the Town Blue pays tribute to the color blue, the official color for brain injury awareness, and celebrates the creative spirit of brain injury survivors by featuring original artwork by Jodi House members.
Attendees can meet the artists and vote for their favorite piece in Jodi House’s inaugural art contest for members.
“While this is our fifth year hosting our annual fundraiser at MOXI, this year’s theme has special meaning,” said Lindsey Black, Jodi House’s executive director. “The creativity of the Jodi House community is truly remarkable, and we are so honored to have this opportunity to uplift and celebrate the artwork of our members.”
Event attendees can enjoy live jazz, fine wines, paella, sweet treats, and raffles.
“The program will feature an inspiring story of hope and recovery after brain injury,” organizers said
“All net proceeds will directly support Jodi House’s programs that empower brain injury survivors to reintegrate into our community at the highest level of functioning possible,” they said. “Guests are invited to help ‘paint the town blue’ by dressing up in their favorite shades of blue.”
