Joe Talarico scored 20 points to help Dos Pueblos notch its first win of the year Friday, beating Berean Christian 67-47 at the Mission Prep Tournament.

Justin Stock added 17 points for the Chargers, and Matthew Zamora had nine.

“We were able to make good passes against their trapping defense for open looks in the half court,” Dos Pueblos coach Joe Zamora said. “I was pleased with the way we ran the court.”

The Chargers led 26-19 at the half, and a 22-10 third quarter run helped them salt the game away.

“We were missing some players tonight, and Daniel Mauldin really stepped in and did a great job at both ends of the court,” Zamora said. “Shane Grant was a solid player for us as well.”

The Chargers are now 1-3 and play Mission Prep on Saturday.
