Santa Barbara volleyball stars came out in force Thursday to thank San Marcos coach Jon Lee for 23 years of service.
World beach champion Todd Rogers, Brook Billings and a host of others showed up to pay tribute to Lee’s influential role as a both a coach and personal mentor.
The Royals also showed up to do business as the varsity, junior varsity and frosh/soph squads all beat Channel League rival Buena in straight games. The shutout was a fitting tribute to Lee’s decades of service as a teacher, mentor and friend.
