The local Channel League squads of San Marcos, Dos Pueblos and Santa Barbara High pulled in an impressive 17 All-League honorees for the 2024-25 boys soccer season.
The Royals’ standout senior Jose Ramirez headlined these selections, earning the Channel League Offensive MVP Award after collecting 26 goals and seven assists in 17 games played during the regular season.
San Marcos
The Royals were the top team in town this year, registering a 12-5-4 overall record and a 9-2-3 mark in league play for a third-place finish.
Jose Ramirez and his teammate, junior forward Sergio Ramirez, were a strong 1-2 punch for the San Marcos offense and represented their squad on the All-League First Team.
The defensive duo of senior Yovani Diego and junior Jacob Barsky handled business on the other end of the field for the Royals en route to All-League Second Team selections.
Junior forward/defender Luis Campos and sophomore midfielder Yael Solano made their impacts all over the field and rounded out the team’s selections as All-League Honorable Mentions.
Dos Pueblos
The Chargers also reached CIF-SS postseason play this season, going 10-8-2 and 6-7-1 in Channel League action to finish in fourth place.
They were strong in the middle all season as senior midfielders Miguel Greenberg and Ryan Curtis took home All-Channel League First Team honors.

Defensively, junior goalkeeper Isaac Jimenez and junior center back Andrew Gomez kept opposing offenses in check and were named to the All-League Second Team.
Meanwhile, senior center back Johnny Villafana and sophomore midfielder Chris Barreto Ordonez garnered All-League Honorable Mention nods.
Santa Barbara High
The Dons went through a rebuilding year during the 2024-25 season, slotting into seventh place in the Channel League standings.
Junior defender Pietro Nascente anchored the Santa Barbara High defensive effort and was the team’s lone representative on the All-League First Team.
The midfield duo of senior Yahri Heras and junior Barbaro Cadena made their impacts felt throughout the year and were selected as All-League Second Team members.
Sophomore midfielder Pablos Desales and freshman defender Luis Santana showcased the future of Santa Barbara High soccer and were named All-League Honorable Mentions.
