Norma Rapko, a Latina artist, author and speaker, will lead CREATIVA Art & Vision Journaling Workshop, 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19 at Delta Gamma Sorority House (UCSB), 6509 Picasso Road, Isla Vista.
The Nov. 19 event is only open to UCSB college students, who can register via the RSVP form the college chapter provides in collaboration with other Greek sororities; or show up on the day of.
Rapko is the founder of CREATIVA, a creative empowerment movement and Art + Vision Journaling Workshop designed to help women and young creators awaken their creativity and create a life they love.
She is also the inventor of the CRYSTYLER, a best seller on HSN that is available in 1,100 Michaels craft stores.
Once a high school dropout struggling with anxiety and depression, Rapko turned to creativity as a lifeline and rebuilt her life through art. Today, she has been featured in Forbes, NBC, Univision, and HuffPost.
She leads Art + Vision Journaling workshops designed to help young women use creativity as a tool for self-discovery, empowerment, and intentional life-design.
At the UCSB event, hosted by the Women’s Network and Delta Gamma Sorority, each participant will create a personalized vision journal.
Kapko is gifting all art supplies and her new eBook “Awaken Your Creativity and Create a Life You Love,” as part of her commitment to supporting young women’s growth and well-being, the Women’s Network said.
