During July, known as Parks and Recreation Month, the city of Goleta has created a calendar full of daily recreational activities. The calendar can be downloaded in English or Spanish.

Activities and events on the calendar are meant as suggestions or ideas, the city said, so community members can celebrate Parks and Recreation Month however they like.
 
Among the activities are:
 
• Monday, July 15, 2-4 p.m. or Sunday, July 28, 1-3 p.m.
 — Intro Level Pickleball Clinic at Goleta Community Center Courts, 5679 Hollister Ave. Local instructor Dave Wilcox will lead both workshops. Please be sure to register for only one Pickleball clinic. Paddles will be provided, but please be sure to wear tennis shoes and bring water.
 
• Friday, July 19, 3-4:30 p.m. 
— Intro Level Disc Golf Clinic at Evergreen Park (Evergreen and Brandon drives. 
A beginner clinic taught by local instructor Michael Roberts. Discs will be provided; bring comfortable shoes to navigate grassy and dirt terrain. Meet in grassy area near the tennis courts.
 
• Saturday, July 27, 9:30-11 a.m.
 — Intro Level Tennis Clinic at Stow Canyon Tennis Courts, 6200 Muirfield Drive). Beginner clinic taught by local instructor Adrian Lopez. Tennis rackets provided but feel free to bring your own; tennis shoes required.
