The Junior League of Santa Barbara (JLSB) will host its 85th Anniversary Rummage Sale Saturday, March 25, with a pre-sale shopping event Friday, March 24, both at Carrillo Recreation Center.

Sale times are 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday and 6-9 p.m. Friday. Tickets for the pre-sale are $25 and available in advance here. Admission to the Saturday sale is free.

First established in 1934, the community-based sale is one of Santa Barbara’s longest standing charity events. It benefits the JLSB’s mission and provides low-cost, new and gently used merchandise to the community at affordable prices.

The JLSB event is Santa Barbara’s largest indoor garage sale featuring thousands of new, almost-new, and gently-used items, including baby items, clothing for all, art, housewares, appliances, kitchen and dining wares.

The funds raised support JLSB’s work in the community, such as training its members to be effective community leaders while partnering with other nonprofits aligned with JLSB’s mission and focus area to further the league’s impact.

This includes the league’s current signature project, S.A.F.E. House Santa Barbara, a six-bed residential shelter in Santa Barbara County for girls who are survivors of sexual exploitation and sex trafficking; and traffickSTOP, a community awareness campaign aimed at helping local residents know the facts, know the signs, and know what to do if a case of trafficking is suspected.

JLSB thanks its sponsors Arthur Salsbury, Frank and Joseph Gila Fund, and La Centra-Summerlin Foundation for their contributions.
