It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kaylynn M. Herrera, a beloved mother, daughter, sister and friend, who left this world far too soon.
Kaylynn was born March 1, 1995 in Irving, Texas. We moved to Goleta, California, in 1998, where she was raised and built the beautiful life and memories that so many will forever cherish.
Kaylynn was the loving daughter of Nellie Guerrero and Tony Herrera. She shared an unbreakable bond with her siblings — her sister Raeshelle Herrera, and two brothers Anthony Herrera and Nicolas Herrera — who will always hold her close in their hearts.
Above all, Kaylynn was a devoted and proud mother to her two children, a daughter and a son, who were her greatest joy and purpose. Everything she did was for them.
Her love for her children was endless, fierce and unconditional, and they will forever carry her strength and spirit with them.
Kaylynn will be remembered for her warm heart, her kindness, and the way she made others feel welcomed and loved. She had a gentle soul, a bright smile, and a presence that brought comfort to those around her.
She cherished her family deeply, and created lasting memories filled with laughter, love and togetherness.
Though her time with us was far too short, Kaylynn’s love and light will live on through her children, her family, and everyone blessed to have known her.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 13 at St. Mark’s University Parish in Isla Vista, followed by the committal service at Calvary Cemetery.
