Milpas Street-based Kerfuffle Theatre company is bringing its annual Holiday Romp Dec. 28-31 to the Community Arts Workshop, 631 Garden St., Santa Barbara.

This year’s production — “WHODUNIT?” — is a mash-up written and directed by E-J Huerta.

“Think Agatha Christie meets Clue, the Board-Game, meets all those PBS dramas on the telly,” Kerfuffle Theatre company said.

Set during Christmas 1945 at Mediocre Manor, an English manor house, “WHODUNIT?” features all the well-known tropes, characters and stereotypes of the popular genre: the murder mystery.

However, Kerfuffle Theatre is known for artistic director Huerta’s particular brand of ingenuity and wit; what she calls “the serious business of being very silly,” so the murder mystery category takes some twists and turns.

The show’s cast includes Emily Vallance, Clayton Barry, Ali Javanbakht, Emma Tracewell, David “Rosie” Rosenholz, Jim Sirianni, and Sanford Jackson.
