Kevin Bazzell roped a walk-off double in the bottom of the ninth to give the Santa Barbara Foresters a 4-3 win over the Academy Barons on Friday at Pershing Park.

With the dramatic win, the Foresters (24-11) clinched their 10th straight CCL South division title.

The Barons jumped out to an early lead thanks to an RBI triple in the top of the first, putting them up 1-0.

Santa Barbara then tied the game up at 1-1 when Will Pendergrass tallied an RBI double in the bottom of the second, scoring Hunter Ensley.

After two scoreless innings, the Foresters struck again thanks to a run-scoring error off the bat of Griffin Everitt and a ground-rule double down the right-field line by Ensley, bringing the score to 3-1.

However, the lead was relatively short-lived, as a run-scoring double and an RBI infield single in the seventh led to two runs for the Barons to tie the game up at three apiece.

A scoreless eighth and top of the ninth inning set the table for a dramatic finish for the Foresters, which is exactly what happened.

Hudson White walked to open the bottom of the ninth, and Bazzell followed up with a deep drive to centerfield to score White and give Santa Barbara the victory and the CCL South title.

The Foresters will look to make it four straight victories when they take on the OC Riptide on Saturday at 6 p.m. at Pershing Park.
