The Kiwanis Club of Santa Maria-Noontime has announced its leadership transition, effective in October.
Anna Rubcic will take over as president, and Elaine Guzman as president-elect. Also on the leadership team are Donna Beal, immediate past president; Ann Batterson, secretary; and Jim Burubeltz, treasurer.
New appointees to the Santa Maria Board of Directors include Dr. Ray Arensdorf, Santiago Bañuelos, Diego Cardenas Garcia, Dawn Jackson, Glenn Prezkop, and Silvia Oishi-Cheatham.
The Kiwanis for Kids Foundation Board, which focuses on philanthropic efforts, welcomes Bob Doyle, Alex Posada, and Marisol Cruz, who will serve as treasurer.
The club thanks the outgoing leadership for their dedication and contributions over the past year.
The Kiwanis Club of Santa Maria-Noontime recently recognized its members for their outstanding contributions and long-standing service.
The following were honored as Distinguished Club Members for exceptional dedication over the past year: Santiago Bañuelos, Donna Beal, Michelle Galanski, Eileen Geraci, Steve Geraci, Alex Posada, and Julie Posada.
Receiving the Legion of Honor award for their years of membership were Julie Posada (30 years), Jim Burubeltz (45 years), and Bob Morrison (50 years).
Special honors were presented to Genevieve Siwabessy as Rookie of the year; and Eileen Geraci, Kiwanian of the year.
Santiago Banuelos, Marisol Cruz and Bob Morrison all received a William A. Dunlap Fellowship Award; and Tiffany Fife McInerney was awarded the Rose Float Fellowship Award.
A milestone was celebrated with the unveiling of the Governor Banner for Steve Geraci, marking his appointment as governor for the California-Nevada-Hawaii District.
