Kyle’s Kitchen’s latest Kyle’s Gives Back has partnered with MOXI, The Wolf Museum of Exploration + Innovation this spring to raise funds and awareness for MOXI, a nonprofit in Santa Barbara County.

MOXI is “dedicated to igniting learning through interactive experiences in science and creativity by supporting families, creating opportunities, and fostering belonging in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math,” Kyle’s Kitchen said.

Customers dining at any Kyle’s Kitchen location will help in the fund-raising effort.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Kyle’s Kitchen. They have created a tremendous legacy in this community of supporting and elevating people with exceptional needs,” said Robin Gose, MOXI president/CEO.

“We are grateful for their endorsement and generosity to support our mission to provide inclusive, accessible STEAM learning for all,” Gose said.

The Santa Barbara-based MOXI museum offers three floors of exhibits, including an Innovation Workshop makerspace.

MOXI provides educational programs for all ages, from toddlers to adults.

Accessibility and community outreach are central to MOXI’s approach. In the past year, the museum has hosted some 11,000 students on reduced- or no-cost field trips, with 73% from Title I schools.

The museum has offered $1 tickets to some 8,400 EBT cardholders through the Museums for All program and provided Community Partner Memberships to nearly 2,000 visitors from local organizations like CADA, Santa Barbara County libraries, and San Marcos High School Transition Program.

“We have been longtime supporters of MOXI, and are honored to partner with them again, as they continue to support special needs learning and accessibility in their wonderful space,” said Deena Ferro, who own Kyle’s Kitchen with her husband Jay.

“Our son Kyle inspired us to be advocates, and to do everything in our power to help people with special needs reach their potential, and we’re proud to be able to support all the incredible work that MOXI does,” Ferro said.

In its mission to build a business that supports people with special needs, Kyle’s Gives Back has donated more than $300,000 to date to organizations in the community.

Customers can dine at either of the Kyle’s Kitchen locations on Calle Real or Hollister Avenue, as well as Kyle’s Taproom (inside Hollister Avenue site), to support MOXI. Kyle’s Kitchen offers dine-in, delivery, and takeout options at all locations.
