Laguna Blanca football wrapped up its season with a 56-32 loss to Milken Community in the CIF-SS Div. 2 8-Person Quarterfinals on Saturday.

The game was closer than the final scoreboard indicated, as the Milken lead was just 25-20 heading into halftime following a 6-yard touchdown run by Dylan Comis.

Out of the locker room, the third quarter was a defensive slugfest with neither team managing to crack the endzone.

However, the fourth quarter was dominated by the Milken Wildcats, who scored 28 unanswered points to bring their lead to 53-20. The Owls fought back with 12 more points in the final minute but it was too little, too late.

Laguna Blanca quarterback Spencer Hlavaty finished the day with four touchdown passes, three to wideout Sam Narva and one to Gabriel Lea.

Defensively, the Owls were led by James Couvillion, Ganden Walker and Carson Stewart.

The loss ends the Laguna Blanca season with a record of 8-2.
