The Laguna Blanca football offense led the way in a 50-26 win over Malibu on Friday.

Quarterback Spencer Hlavaty ended the game with five total touchdowns, four through the air and one on the ground.

The Owls dominated the first half as Dylan Comis totaled 63 yards and a touchdown, Gabe Lea caught a 13-yard touchdown pass and Hlavaty scrambled one in to take a 24-8 lead into the locker room.

In the second half, Hlavaty connected with Ethan Carrington for a 40-yard touchdown, Cole Sharpton for a 30-yard score and hit Lea for a 65-yard bomb to cap off the scoring.

“It was a great team win by our guys, everyone contributed to a successful outcome,” Laguna Blanca coach Matt Escobar said. “It’s great to see these guy’s hard work show on the field.

“They’ve really put the time and heart into it. It was great to see our offensive line shine and establish a respectable run game, which led to our play action success ”

The Owls will take on United Christian Academy next Saturday at 3 p.m. for the school’s Homecoming Game.
