Laguna Blanca won its 10th straight boys volleyball match on Monday night, sweeping Dunn, 25-6, 25-21, 25-16.

Caden Weaver moved from libero to outside hitter and led the Owls with nine kills.

“Caden moved into the outside hitter role and reminded us all how high he can jump with some high flying kills and a block,” said assistant coach Kat Niksto.

Carson Bohnet had five kills and hit .444 at the opposite position. He also picked up five digs.

“Short a few players, it was nice to see our team handle the adversity and different guys step into different roles successful,” said Niksto.

Kincade Avery and Liam Knezevic each had six kills, and Knezevic dished out 26 assists.

“In the third set, freshman Baylor Wilson came into the game to handle a share of the setting responsibilities, and did so with his usual calm and composed demeanor,” said Niksto.

The Owls (10-0, 3-0 in league) play at Cate on Wednesday.
